Tippy Toe Toddlers
Ages 18 months – 3 years with Caregiver.
With a caregiver by their side, our Tippi Toe Toddlers class is sure to be a special & memorable first dance experience for your littlest budding ballerina. These classes are enjoyed by all and introduce pre ballet and movement with the use of catchy, creative and upbeat songs. This NEW class promises to be “Tutu” cute!
Baby Ballet & Top Tap Combo
Ages 3-4 with Caregiver.
Preschoolers are encouraged to develop and explore their ability to sing and dance further as they progress through the curriculum. This is your child’s first opportunity to take part in an independent class (as caregivers remain in the waiting area), BB/TT classes are lots of fun and introduce beginner ballet and tap steps and terminology with the use of popular music, imaginative play, props, instruments and more. Caregivers will occasionally be asked to participate in the last 5-10 minutes of class to assist their little one or to be an audience for them as they showcase some of the activities or dances that they have learned.
Baby
Beethoven
Ages 8 months – non-walkers with Caregiver. Music can be one of your babies favorite things! It is also one of the best ways to help his/her developing mind. Baby Beethoven offers an environment complete with music, movement and fun! Our class will help to strengthen Language and Vocal Development as well as Fine and Gross Motor Skills. Baby’s will also enjoy the benefits of social interaction with others through side-by-side play and group activities. Whether you are bouncing your child to the steady beat or he/she is doing a dance on their own, your baby is ready to benefit from an early introduction to music through exploring instruments, listening to sounds, and moving to a variety of different music!
Mozart’s Musical Movers
Ages 18 months -3 yrs with Caregiver. Each class offers developmentally age-appropriate activities. We will explore the world of Music and Movement with exciting games and interactive songs that allow children to learn and grow through play. Storytime and exploration of different instruments and props are all incorporated into this well-rounded curriculum. Ms. Katie’s Music and Movement Program will instill a lifelong love of music and a foundation for learning.
Mini Maestros
Ages 3-5. Mini Maestros music class will engage your preschoolers natural love of music while allowing them to use their imagination. Students will have the opportunity to sing & play a variety of instruments (drums, xylophones, shakers, rhythm sticks, triangles, tambourines, wood blocks and more) with an emphasis on steady beat, rhythm patterns and ensemble music. Music theory concepts are introduced at this age. We will also incorporate the use of props and interactive songs to allow for freedom of movement. This class promises to be high energy & lots of fun!
Musical
Theater
This class is all about dancing, acting and singing to various Broadway Musicals, TV shows, and Movies. Let your creativity and performance abilities come out. There will be a strong emphasis on Jazz technique as well as Basic vocal warm-ups. Each month the class will explore a NEW Musical. Students will learn choreograhed routines to some of the following musicals….Grease, High School Musical, Footloose, Hairspray and more!
Hip Hop
This high energy class will begin with a dance warm-up, stretch and body isolations. Dancers will learn to exercise body control and rhythm while learning the latest hip-hop moves. Popping and locking are just one example of the many hip-hop techniques students will learn in class. Dancers participate in activities such as freeze dance and freestyle, which will allow them to be creative and explore their own style of Hip Hop Dance! A portion of the class will be designated for learning a cutting-edge choreographed hip-hop dance routine.
Tap
Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, timing, style and performance. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. Dance with Instruments is incorporated into the curriculum to help with rhythm and tempo. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun.
Ballet
Students are introduced to ballet fundamentals and terminology. Class will begin with a barre warm-up to help students learn the positions of the feet and arms and other ballet basics. Center stretching will follow to increase flexibility. Across the floor movements such as skipping, hopping, turning, chasse, saute, leaping and partner patterns will help students to develop coordination and balance. By blending formal elements with creative movement we make a formal ballet class that much more fun and exciting. The end of class will be dedicated to learning an age appropriate choreographed ballet dance. Children will learn basic dances from the following Ballet’s…”Dance of the Little Swans”, “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and more.
Jazz
Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance techniques such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Lyrical and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Students will have the opportunity to learn and master a choreographed jazz dance routine to be worked on each week during the last part of class.
