Katie Kind, founder of Kind Performing Arts, LLC, has been teaching dance and music in the capital district for over 15 years! Katie has attended the Music Certificate program at SCCC and holds a degree in Dance/Fine Arts from Dean College. She was also a Licensed Kindermusik Educator for many years. After her studies, Katie (known to many as Ms. Katie) had the opportunity to travel to different areas of the world in order to perform in different dinner theater, theme park and cruise line venues with Encore International and Paramount Productions. She is also a local wedding/special events singer and has performed with some of the area’s most talented musicians. Katie has a passion for the arts and enjoys spreading her love of dance and music to all of the students she teaches. By providing exceptional instruction in a small class setting, Katie’s mission is to allow her students to learn and grow in an environment that is educational, fun, creative and safe. She resides in Slingerlands with her husband and three beautifully crazy children. Ms. Katie explained, ” Opening the doors to Kind Performing Arts has been a dream of mine since I was a child. It has been heartwarming for me to watch the program flourish over the past 6 years. I am extremely grateful to be able to do what I love and am thankful to the local families that give me the support and the opportunity to teach their children”.
