BALLET

Students are introduced to ballet fundamentals and terminology. Class will begin with a barre warm-up to help students learn the positions of the feet and arms and other ballet basics. Center stretching will follow to increase flexibility. Across the floor movements such as skipping, hopping, turning, chasse, saute, leaping and partner patterns will help students to develop coordination and balance. By blending formal elements with creative movement we make a formal ballet class that much more fun and exciting.   The end of class will be dedicated to learning an age-appropriate choreographed ballet dance.
